Hate them. probably because i am not wordy and better at logic and numbers.

Also i have a character flaw, if i am not naturally good at something.... I don't bother.

I admire your efforts to get better at them. One day, when i am old and retired, I may give it a go.

No offence intended but that time may not be to far off , wouldnt hurt to start training lol

Sorry, I used to be a cryptic snob, lovetts are rubbish.

Noel Jessops and Sticklers were the best.

I bought noels book, he wrote a rather endearing note within, the smart ass.

I found it amusing however.

I preferred compiling them to solving.

They may be rubbish but I struggle with them (and all the others).

I dont have the right sort of brain or a big enough vocabulary or whatever it takes.

Anyway still persisting!

The easiest way to learn is how I did. I found a,crossword forum and began learning by cracking their cryptic conversations between themselves.

I think I probably annoyed them, but I loved the puzzle.

A book by Noel Jessop is excellent.

It's called crosswords without tears.

You may find its out of print unfortunately.

But you may get lucky on some site that sells second-hand books.

Mr Jessop is/was the godfather of Australian cryptic crosswords.
