Camels are doing enormous ecological damage to our fragile desert ecosystems.
Their meat is also delicious! Yum, seriously! And healthy.
However, their meat is also tough as old boots. I bought a kilo of camel mince at the Adelaide Central Market, repackaged that into smaller lots and put most in the freezer. Tomorrow a pasta sauce with camel mince, pieces of pancetta, onions, herbs etc will be cooked for my dinner. Yum!
As you eat you can feel virtuous for eating an environmental pest.
