The Upside to this pandemic

Post by sprintcyclist » Thu Apr 23, 2020 2:05 pm

We get used to change.

It motivates our government.

We think more of doing what is best for ourselves.

We have a time where we all 'sit quietly on our rooms'.

When we come out, we might not rush everything.
We might take a longer viewpoint on things.

The canals in Venice are running clear.
Animals are coming back to various areas.
We are polluting less.

I'm not sure there is a true upside. It depends on where you sit.

If the housing market crashes then young people should be able to start buying back into the market so that's a plus. I can only speak for Sydney and the market here needs to drop by 50% imo. Hopefully the Chinese will pack up and go home because they caused the ridiculous surge in prices here to begin with. Somehow I doubt that though.

Maybe people will remember to be clean and wash their hands and NOT spit.

I'll be glad when the kids go back to school 8-)

The animals will go back to the bush/forest areas when the people emerge en masse and I'm not sure about the pollution. If we start our manufacturing industry up again, which we NEED to, we will have more pollution and will need stricter guidelines.

maybe people won't want 'this years must have' phone/car/bike.
Maybe people will cook using dried beans instead of imported junk from overseas.

BUY AUSTRALIAN.

The Chinese over inflated the Sydney housing market using interest free loans from the CCP. We should seize property and assets owned by China.
