I'm quite keen to buy one.

It'll have to be reasonably economically viable

Need the infrastructure to be wide to allow travelling outside the cities first for me. Recharge times are too long compared to just a quick tank fill.

I think this is a major reason behind why people arent going there. FOr me, because of my caving, canyoning stuff being off-road I probably need 1. bigger range, 2. a electric ute

But a slightly smaller than Hilux electric ute with 6-800km range will do me nicely please

I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

If you are off road, the range might decrease.
I don't mean that to put you off one. Just, it may not suit you

I've got a mate who owns a Tesla, he says it essentially comes down to planning your stops better so you recharge more frequently. Probably a case of drive on road and then at last possible stop before I go off road stop and recharge, my off road journeys are 100 km tops before I get back on road so its probably not a big deal from that perspective.

Oh, ok, Had not thought of that.

In our case, we will most likely retire at a similar time.
This may sound funny but ALL of our 'normal shopping' we can well do on our bicycles.
Which is really good, I FAR prefer it. I've done it.

Our 'long trips', we can well do on an electric SUV. Easily.
If we want to go around Aussie (Oh Yes !), we can but a vehicle to do just that. A diesel camper bus.
Sell it when we get back
