Yeah, given the number of similar accusations that America endures in forums like this one, I just couldn't resist adopting the self-mocking "Team America: World Police" icon as my own. I've actually used it off and on in various forums since the movie came out.

By the way, did you know that the use of marionettes in "Team America" was likely an homage to the 1960s half-hour kids' programs Fireball XL5, Stingray, Supercar and Thunderbirds, which were filmed in "Supermarionation."

sadly for me the only way ahead for AMERIKA is self mockery...the country as a whole has sunk to a level

on top of everything else that is beyond belief [ to me] in AMERIKA last night on my TV I witnessed a policeman killing another black AMerican in full view of the rest of world without blinking an eye.....whilst other law enforcers watched on.....sorry 4th....this is the image I think the rest of the world has of your country......its completely out of control...

A viral image shared by Hillary Clinton and other top Democrats that implied President Trump made an unusual move by turning off all the lights in the White House amid protests over the death of George Floyd is an edited image from 2015, according to an Associated Press fact check.

"Elections matter," Clinton said in a Monday tweet. The tweet showed the White House illuminated in rainbow colors after a 2015 Supreme Court decision that legalized same-sex marriage alongside an image of the White House with no exterior lights on.

Many others, including New Jersey Rep. Bill Pascrell, a Democrat, shared the image while claiming that Trump turned off the lights as Secret Service transported him to a basement bunker Friday amid violent protests outside the White House.

David Axelrod, a former adviser to President Barack Obama, also shared the tweet on Monday. "Perfect symbolism. If ever the country needed the occupant of the White House to shed light, and not heat, now is the time. Sadly, the lights are out," he said.

The specific viral picture that was shared alongside the claims was not taken during the Trump presidency, and it was edited to make the mansion look darker than it normally is, according to the Associated Press.
