Chalmers Couldn't Lie Straight in Bed

Post by Black Orchid » Tue Jul 21, 2026 6:20 pm

Jim Chalmers ... “New numbers out this week show more new businesses were registered last month than in any other month since these records first began in 1999,” he said. “More businesses were created in the month after the budget than in any other month on record.

Naturally he's lying!

“The treasurer is trying to gaslight the public again by saying the increase in company registrations is to do with an improving economy or more businesses being founded,” Mr Wilson said.

“That is 100 per cent incorrect. It’s people moving from trust structures, which will now be taxed at 30 per cent, to company structures, which — unless you have turnover over $50 million — are only taxed at 25 per cent.”

He said the trend was purely a tax minimisation strategy, and that a second reason behind the spike may be everyday Aussies putting their shares into company or trust structures to avoid increased capital gains taxes.

Recent research shows investors who bought the 20 most popular stocks six years ago would pay nearly double the amount of tax under Labor’s changes to capital gains tax.

These idiots need to GO!

Meanwhile we have that despicable smirking smarmy little cretin Bowen who is rorting the public for $4.2 million for accommodation in luxury Fiji resorts.

The Libs had better work things out with Pauline because next election we do NOT want preferences going to Labor. They can hang out with the Greens but no-one else.

Chalmers has been labelled the highest taxing treasurer on record. I wish someone would punch that smug face in too!

Yet another rate rise today because of his wasteful spending. Putting added pressure on young people already struggling. Labor always spends like a drunken sailor.

People losing their houses but who cares? They'll just sell them to the Chinese and Indians.

RBA lifts interest rates to highest level in 15 years

By business reporter Gareth Hutchens

The Reserve Bank has lifted interest rates to their highest level in 15 years.

It has increased rates by 0.25 percentage points, which lifts the cash rate target to 4.6 per cent, up from 4.35 per cent.

It will be a blow to home owners with large mortgages. It is also the highest cash rate millions of households have faced since taking on a mortgage after 2011.

But individuals who have high-interest savings accounts will see their savings accruing more interest after today's decision, if their bank applies higher rates to their accounts.

The decision to lift rates was unanimous, with all nine members of the board voting in favour.

ScoMo over reacted to Covid but that is only one part of the $1 trillion
that the Reserve bank printed.

Simplified version:

The Govt, issues Govt. Bonds and the Reserve bank prints money to pay for them.
They printed $1 trillion and blame everyone else for the inflation.
