But he was Leader of the Fibs and Coalition for a while. He was given a proper send off by both sides of the House. Beazley was in Parlt for 27 years, Deputy PM etc etc.
Howard, as always, just too small a man to do the right thing. His party a bunch of self-servers. Well, they will be a looooong time in opposition. The next non-Labor govt may well be from a different Party than the Fibs.

With the demographic trap facing the Fibs they are doing NOTHING to woo different demographic sectors. Like, this week, it came out how the Fibs are letting their women MPs ask hardly any questions in the HoRs! Hear Plibersecks line? A cracker! "the fibs won't let women ask questions and now they won't let them answer them either!" Think that won't be used? Rudd already has a majority of women supporting him and the ALP as it is!

Scorpio, I just watched the speech too, liked how Kev mentioned all the times Brenden had come to his office (after the hostilites were over ) and the two of them had worked on the hearing tests for all kids that has been introduced. He gave Brenden all the credit too.
