Long overdue. I want a Republic. Bring it on.

We will need to change the flag sometime. If we are a totally independent nation we cannot have the flag of another nation on our flag.

But let us get agreement on a republic--with elected President--then can start to change the flag. See nothing wrong with the aboriginal flag being included but not as a flag within a flag.

Google "Australian flag" and look through a few pages and you will see some designs for a possible new flag. heh, also a flag with stars&bars in place of the union jack
