Re: Iran
Iran is playing its cards right..
It is making the use that the US army is quite stretched out, and that was before the financial crisis. Iran is not iraq, in terms of its military capabilities. They have a more cohesive and generally more equipped infrastructure than iraq did post 10 years of sanctions. So realistically they will not tehran out as quick as they did with baghdad.
Potential to the world. the oil will sky rocket. undoubedly that is without iran bombing a single oil vessel.
The assertion that the US. will bomb is out, with the good riddance of dubya the idiot.
Israel has got too much to loose, and not much to gain at this point. even if they did bomb the nuclear facility they will expose themselves to iran attacks obviously, hezbollah and hamas attacks. along with whatever 3rd party militia that syria will back (there army is pathetic).
and hence, 3 to 4 fronts of war on israels side. Linked with america's cripple of the above. You have scenario full rheotoric, and fuck all action. Which is good thank heavens. The last thing that the middle east needs is another shit storm.
ah did mention iranian involvement in afghanistan !!.
peace.

Re: Iran
Hurray for Iran!!!!
Hurray for a nuclear arms race in the Middle East!
I am sure Chomsky and Micheal Moore must be so proud.
Hello Obama, time to move from Hallmark card speeches to strategic reality.
I wish you good luck.
I REALLY do.
And us.

Actually since the surge Iraq is slowly becomming a successful multi ethnic federated democracy with a higher growth rate economically than theocratic Iran, one that does not export terror or seek to destablise it's neighbours.
So yes, in a decade or so let's hope Iran goes the way or Iraq.
