King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king.

Dennis: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

    Arthur: Be quiet!

Dennis: You can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just ’cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

    Arthur: Shut up!

Dennis: I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!

I prefer the ancient Roman model with 2 consuls
That worked out well.
It lasted 500 years! So, yes... it did work well!
I can't find that on the www?
Apologies, Aussie. I had no idea that were so stupid and uneducated that you would need an exact duration and not an 'off the cuff, approximate as I did.

So, for stupids, like you, the Roman republic lasted 482 years.

I won't contribute any more... there is no point... no one else is making an effort... not even you!
Snide comments from you, don't count as contributions.

I'm sure it did...but with just 'two Consuls' having the reins?

The royal family contains many fake people:

https://inews.co.uk/news/princess-anne- ... ed-1853004

The Princess Royal did not serve in the military herself,
but like many royals she holds a number of military honours and titles.

The uniform she has been pictured in is a Royal Navy ceremonial uniform –
she was made a Rear Admiral in 1993, before being promoted to Vice Admiral in 2009 and finally Admiral in 2012.

In 2020 Anne was also made a General in the British Army and an Air Chief Marshal in the Royal Air Force.

She holds many other military titles across the Commonwealth, such as Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Canadian Navy,
Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal New Zealand Army Nursing Corps and Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Australian Corps of Transport.

Was Princess Anne in the military? Why the Princess Royal wears military uniform and her service explained
The Princess Royal was pictured in full military uniform during a procession in the Scottish capital on Monday,
and will wear it at further ceremonial events this week

Clearly you lack the knowledge and motivation to acquire said knowledge, to provide a meaningful discussion.
Just as you lack the ability or motivation to acquire the ability to run a successful forum.
