Shows what happens when a mining boom pops and trading partners go into recession.

Tomorrow's session of Parlt will be fascinating!

Companies hire workers and feed people. (Governments just take what companies make to do the same at greater cost while producing nothing.)

Facinating is what suffering does these days.

What is fascinating is how soem right wingers and members of the Liberals are trying to blame this on the Labor government. Ridiculous. I hope noone is foolish enough to buy it.

Oh I doubt it. Even miners being sacked realise it is not Rudd's fault. They have seen Northern Rock and all those US banks collapse and know about the subprime mess caused by mortgage brokers making toxic loans then quickly parcelling these up and flogging the CDOs so created.

A news item I find disturbing--and which I predicted--is civil unrest in China as companies close leaving workers unpaid, sometimes months of pay are owed. No trade unions in China! Some of these companies took their money and went back to their own countries and Hong Kong leaving no chance these workers will ever see their pay.

Now these workers are starting to protest and take to the streets. If the commo government there overreacts then I further predict civil war could erupt there and as long as that drags on there will be no world wide recovery.

If Obama does not remove the 'buy american' from his stimulus package, even more so if the Dems add more items to be 'buy American' then trade wars will erupt. Maybe hot wars.

We have basically a mafia-government in Russia and all these Baltic and Balkan states going broke, how long before Russia 'protects' these? If Europe protests they will have their Russian gas turned off!

Stand by for Labors biggest hypocratic ennuciation in modern history.

Nucularism. Sometime in the next six months, perhaps after the Sydney winter, the ransom of energies and utilities in major cities, and perhaps major labor engineered failures in Hospitals and other government services and utilities ministries.

Nucularism. Labor sabotaging hospitals.

You either have VERY good drugs or are a Democratic Labor Supporter. Came across one or two of them when I was a public servant in Dept Defense. Same strange thinking and conspironuttism.

Turnbull says the opposition will block the bill, spoilt little brats.
The gov are going to have to deal with the Greens now, Bob Brown was saying yesterday he supports the package but it needed some tinkering, let the tinkering begin.

The crust of this is the Liberal party and their supporters want Australia to go into recession they want Rudd to fail, they neither care nor understand working class Australia nor the education of its children.
One of Turnbulls main points is too much money being spent on government schools, the Libs dont want working class kids to get a good education in fact the Libs believe the twenty billion to be spent on bringing the schools up to scratch is far too much they want it SLASHED to three billion, of course they do, none of their kids use public education.
Turnbull is also against cash handouts, last night he said he didn't know if the last one worked or not, today he says it failed, 24 hours is a long time in politics.
Turnbull also says insulating all the houses in Australia is a bad idea, he says its a waste of money, he would, he just goes home turns on the air co and burns those fossil fuels till the caviar comes home.
I hope the farmers remember the National party voted against farmers getting any cash handouts as well, the Nats don't think the farmers need cash, all farmers are rich, right?
