Heigh-Ho! 2012 USA Election Thread

Post by AiA in Atlanta » Fri Nov 05, 2010 7:31 am

The 2012 election began on November 3, 2010. Two days into the cycle Palin triumphs in surveys, crushing would be Republican nominee rivals much to the delight of the Democrats and horror of the Republican elite. :)

Data this early in the cycle means little or nothing as we will probably see, unless the Republican elite can't stop Palin early on, however.

John McCain, called before his defeat "The Make Believe Maverick" has lived up to this moniker in the last two years. The man needs to retire before he embarrasses himself further.

I hate to say it, but so far President Obama's main foriegn policy acheivement is the world not caring anymore who runs the USA.

Beats the rest of the world hoping Bush got kicked out
The Mayans predicted the end of the world in December 2012, but they didn't see the Spanish coming

LOL. I think that is quite an achievement for the US to get from the world fearing what Bush might do to not caring who is president.

Came across this today:
Jimmy Carter made the terrible, tragic blunder of treating the American people like grownups and telling them the unpleasant truth.

They never forgave him for it, and no American president has dared follow his example ever since. American voters want happy talk, sound bites, and lies, and they'll _annihilate_ anyone who deviates from that script.
