USA Insanity
What is going on over there? Sure, 9/11 happened, but does that make it imperative that a six year old female kid must be full body frisked, including being probed at the vaginal area?
Link.
On ABC AM this afternoon they had a Yank (the bloke who is the voice of Bob the Builder) discussing that and similar issues, and he was rightly ashamed of what USA territorial security has become at the coal face....bloody stupid.
No way I'd take my Grand-Kids there, if they are gonna be groped by some Yank at the Alter of (bullshit) Security.
In fact, if at some US Airport Terminal, some y/wanker tried to personally fondle me below the Equator, I'd deck the prick.

That is about as pathetic as it gets, you know. Makes me ashamed to be an American. The twin towers were many years ago now, and it was the worst man-made violence that has ever happened on US soil, but those who have made the laws up here since then have gone off the deep end. There is no excuse for violating an innocent child at an airport, and I am disgusted.

While being quite invasive, I think it is a bit rich to say she was "probed" in the vaginal area! I saw saw no probing! Would I want my daughter to go through it? No but the poor TSA aperson did as best she could in a bad situation. I though she was quite polite. She obviously didnt enjoy the situation.

I think the cival war was pretty bad. 9/11 was the worst attack from an external source. The twin towers were many years ago now, and it was the worst man-made violence that has ever happened on US soil,
I think they should have used the scanner on the kid so this was wrong. However, I travel alot and I would prefer they do what ever is necessary to prevent a bomb or weapons getting onto the plane. If I have to suffer a touch-up to feel the plane is secure so be it.
Ity the price of reducing the risk and ensuring my family stay alive. That is a price I am prepared to pay.
The kid got over it. Not a real issue.
I think if you don't want to be searched the way the security want to do it... then you have the right to not get on the plane.

I'd wouldn't go below the equator... I'd back right off, and come in via UranusAussie wrote:In fact, if at some US Airport Terminal, some y/wanker tried to personally fondle me below the Equator, I'd deck the prick.

What a load of emotive bullshit.
"Wah, white girl gets frisked."

I was over there a few years ago and I have to say that out of the three sets of customs we passed through, the American ones were the best. They actually let us through early at LA X because we had a small child. By contrast, the Australian ones were by far the worst! They were rude, arrogant and abrupt. One barstard I've seen a few times since then especially. Bubble-gutted prick with piggy little eyes - I've seen him actually laugh a few times when people objected to being treated like cattle forced along a crush.
