Probably Old Hat but I remember listening to cassettes of these comedians:

Bob Newhart
Milton Berle
Victor Borge

There was one in particular, about learning to drive a bus, I think .... accelerator/brake, accelerator/brake ...

There were several comedians who might have been good as stand-up performers but I remember some who were NOT AMUSING and actually acted like they were stupid! NOT funny at all.
