He used to be a crime beat reporter and his books are very easy to read ie put down and then pick up at will. His Harry Bosch novels are very popular and I have read all of them also.

Michael Connelly is another of my favourites. I have just re-read The Poet and am currently re-reading The Scarecrow.

I just finished Personal by Lee Child. The latest Jack Reacher novel. Not one of the best Reacher books but ok.
Now I am reading Escape by David Baldacci. An excellent read.
