A good example is how some men treat other men in chatrooms.
There is no 'reasonableness' given at all. It is very aggressive.

We are discriminated against in many ways.
In these type of Forums (or Chat Rooms) you have to stick up for yourself. If you expect "support" from anybody on an anonymous Forum, by people using an anonymous ID and email address ... forget it.

I don't think it is a matter of having to stick up for yourself or looking for support. It's more a matter of certain people being more adversarial when they aren't face to face.

People like that are lacking any sort of innate balance and try to make themselves feel more powerful by being cowardly and adversarial just because they think they can get away with it.

When I first got the Internet back in 1995, the only ISP was MSN (Microsoft) and the first thing I did was check the Chat Rooms. I still communicate with a lady in the US I met there and several other people around the world.

Originally the protocol was "think about walking into a Bar" .. would you say "get fucked you lot" ... of course you wouldn't.

Now, everyone has a go and that attracts a response. I haven't been near a "Bar" for a decade so I don't know how the blokes "communicate" these days.

this sort of reaction shows a strong avoidance to a real male/male relationship.

This is common among men and very bad.

You need to loosen up a little. I am the production manager for a medium sized engineering company in auckland , It is a male dominated industry And I have a very well belanced relationship with guys that work there , and with the woman as well, one of which is my daughter whom puts in a day a week between her studies. You need to be careful when attemping to judge people from a few randon posts on a MB

Bosses invariably think they have a good relationship with their workers.
Invariably workers dislike bosses. You are not loved at work by your subordinates.

In my experience a "production manager" was only there to keep the factory workers from killing each other to take turns for a smoko. :rofl
