Was unusually warm in Ballarat today.

My daughter had her last swim in our pool today for the next several months.

It's supposed to cool off now, so indoor swimming for the rest of the year.

I prefer heated pools inside anyway.

I would prefer Sydney winters to be a LOT colder. A LOT colder!!

Amazes me when I am out and about in light clothing and short sleeves and I see people rugged up for -30 degree weather in Sydney. Never ceases to amaze me here.

She should continue with swimming lessons for at least several years! Does she enjoy it? Are you having a problem paying for it? Seek assistance ... regardless. Your little girl needs to get whatever the Government offers.

I love wood fires, we have a great gas heater though.

Nothing beats a real wood fire.

Winter came to visit today , south westerly 150k winds . no warning from met service. 120k homes without power. We are having our first fire of the cold season. Its great lol

Predicting snow this year.


It kinda snowed here last year but was mostly slush.

Dirty slush.

Hoping to see proper snow for the first time.


Apparently I saw snow when I was 3, touched it then cried. Lol.

Was 30deg at 10am and the beach was amazballs!

And for when it finally gets cold, we got a fully ducted aircon installed just before xmas so will try that in heat mode. We also have 3 gas heaters. Which would be more cost effective?

I purchased a YMCA healthy kids membership for her. Lol heavens no, government doesn't pay for it.


I don't begrudge it.

Looking forward to returning to workforce. Less time to ponder the past.

She loves it Nef.

Especially the dive toys they throw into the pool she has to dive down to retrieve. Like an underwater paradise. Very different to when we were kids.....were lucky if we got a half chewed off kickboard and some arm bands.

Only issue we are having is goggles.

They prefer to teach kids to swim without them because some panic when drowning without them apparently.
