I am still struggling to come to terms with everything that's happened. I receive 2 counselling sessions each week. trauma counselling and another more specific type of counselling.

Most of the time I'm fine, am coping extremely well, though tend to feel anxious and vulnerable around court and access dates.

Sprint, staying low hasn't helped much.

It's fight or flight, the flight thingy has failed.

Flight IS keeping your head low.

Keep yourself safe, no real reason to believe the police are right.
Their goal is to charge people for as many crimes as they can. A guilty verdict is what they want.
Destroying families lives is not their concern.

The legal system is inefficient, destructive and runs by its own self made laws.

Just exhausting and depressing.

Don't really know what to think anymore.

My priority is keeping us safe, but emotionally, I'm very hurt and am grieving the person I loved so much, at the same time I'm hurt and very scared of him.

Some days I am too scared to put my bin or washing out, so hang it on internal clothes horses, to avoid going outside.

Lol, not the rubbish of course. It just didn't get emptied.

Tomorrow is access visit day.

I'll be fine after tomorrow.

Things always feel better afterwards.

Some days I feel like taking legal action against Spectrum taskforce detectives for destroying our family, other days I feel like sending them a card and thanking them for ultimately getting us out

Still very conflicted, but at the end of the day, without the computer and taskforce factor, the relationship was abusive.

Controlling, exploitive and abusive.

No winners in any of this.

I genuinely believe the police sincerely do their best to uphold the law and help victims of crime.

I don't believe homicide detectives would go out of their way to target one individual and set about destroying a family unless they genuinely believed it was absolutely necessary.

They chose to question him this way for two reasons.

1- to get him off guard
2- let me know he was a suspect/person of interest.
