Certified carbon neutral beef costs more than conventionally farmed beef in Australian supermarkets because some idiots readily pay the price for ideological reason.

Back in the 1990s steak was cheap enough that my
cat ate rump steak 4 to 5 days per week.
The other days she had tinned fish.
She lived till 18.

Nowadays you couldn't afford to feed a family rump steak
yet alone eye fillet steak from Coles.

Meat price on par with Japan and western Europe is globalisation result, soon Australian will be gently forced to eat insects and cane toads for protein.
