These photos of the short suit are taken from J.Crew. There is a J Crew shop across the street from my office and I have recently seen them for sale there. Some men could pull this look off but most could not. To say that shorts should never be paired with a suit however is a ridiculous statement however unless you are wearing a frock coat and top hat. SN, are you?

Not anymore. I now resort to wearing a tea towel for a hat and a dress. My shorts are under the dress and not visible. However it's so hot I should ask if it's ok to go commando.

I've done that look. Makes sense in sticky summer weather. Don't wear suits much anymore and can't say I miss it. A wedding. A funeral. Sadly, funerals are much more common these days ...

'Short suits' make men look like school boys which is the look Angus from ACDC went for isn't it?

I'm not into ties so if I do wear a suit I often don't wear a tie with it.
But I wouldn't wear a suit with dress shoes and no socks. I must be an old fart.

this wasnt a serious 'gay' look in the 70s I guess..

now they may have to second guess when heading to the ball.....

what will I wear the short suit or the formal...

wouldnt you feel a nit if your the only one wearing the short suit...lolol..
