It's not that hot in Sydney yet, is it? It has to be 30C before I go swimming. :D However, way, way back we used to go scuba diving ... the boys had all the equipment and wore wet suits, silly me just had flippers, a mask, and I wore a bikini. Autumn in Melbourne and I went in after the boys (the other girl stayed on the beach, reading) and boy, oh boy, I got cramp and couldn't move my legs, I "floated" to shore, just using my arms ..... I did go "free diving" again but only when the weather was hot. :rofl

It's been gorgeous for 4 weeks, but yesterday a HUGE low parked itself right off Sydney. It's freezing but surf is humungus.

I retired 12 months ago.
I have slaved and saved and have a sizable super balance.
So i quit 5 years before the grubberment said i could f#@k you grubberment.
I bought a nice new 4x4 ready to go and started preparing it.

The plan was to buy a caravan and do the lap a couple of times.

But, tge best laid plans, as they say.
Caravan prices have skyrocketed.
If you can get one.
The two i was reasonably happy to buy woukd be 18 months to build to my specification.

So we went down the used vans, that has now been well and truely abandoned.
The money people want for crap is unbelievably ridiculious.

So its back to new again, and a long wait.
But the lockdown has frustrated my plans again, i cant even get to a place to order a van to my specifications.

So, the lockdown is far from what i anticipated for the early years of my retirement.
But the bonus is that im not spending much, so more to play with later.

Sorry to hear that
