Surgery rarely works and scans don’t help diagnosis much either.

Nothing fake about Crackey and I doubt there is anything fake about Trevor either.

My doctor stated the exact opposite.

Do you know why?

It depends on WHERE the sciatica is located AND the TYPE as well as the intensity. They are graded.

The scans are imperative in determining what type of surgery is required/what block might be necessary and where it ought to be placed.

Anyway. I'm moving about today. The pain is manageable.

Of course all that can change in seconds. So I'm walking on eggshells again 😩🥺

I'm on your side.
How is the breathing going?
The yoga idea is to breathe into your belly, fill your torso from the bottom up, like a bellows. Gently slowly exhale.
The relaxation that gives eases tight muscles.

I can tell you've had this condition because whatever you've told me to do is helping me.

I actually woke up this morning excited about trying out those new exercises like being on all 4's on our wooden floor (with a beach towel over it). So after a super hot shower I got into some shorts and tank top and got straight into it.

Bottom line : Those exercises are not hard to do and are not hard to incorporate into my daily schedule. ✅

Morning coffee - I sat on our flat wooden benches which are in our sun room overlooking the water and as I sipped away looking at the water (trying to stay positive and so set the agenda for a good day) I suddenly found myself trying to work out who/what was missing.

It was my friend Pain. He was gone! Those wooden benches are the way to go. So comfortable! I think I need to get a wooden board for my bed too. There's something about sitting and lying on a flat wooden board which helps your spine.

Yay!

My neighbours are into that. I'll take a look and get them to help me out too.

Awww thanks Nom.

I'm so determined now to do what I can to avoid pain relieving medications (and going into hospital). 😩

You've all been gorgeous.

It's sad that I can't have this type of conversation with my family. They're here watching me helplessly trying to cope so I'm trying to minimise what I'm going through because I want to protect them from getting more worried or upset.

Thanks again everyone.

I am just as happy as you are about these improvements.
Your results are like a Chrissy present to me

Keep in mind you STILL have an injury and should be very cautious about it.
No quick movements. No sudden impacts on your frame.
Breathing fully and deeply helps more than it sounds.

No matter how well you are absolutely never ever twist AND bend at the same time.
Either twist OR bend. Do not do both together.

' ..... Those exercises are not hard to do and are not hard to incorporate into my daily schedule ....' and so, it is more likely you will continue with them. They may help you more

For some reason it seems wood has medicinal properties. Hence varnished wood is not so good. You touch the varnish, not the wood.
Oiled or bare wood is like a balm on a burn.

My pine oiled workbench is therapeutic to sit at. To touch, to sit on.
Oh - have not laid down on it !!!!!!!!!!!
oooooooooooowwwwwwwwww - see you later. I have a HOT date downstairs .........
