OMG, I had to laugh at this articles description of the " Super-Geek".... that's my son all over, complete with black rim glasses and polo or white collared black or white button up shirt.
It's fascinating, how they even wear uniforms to alert others to what kind of clan they belong to...their sense of identity and belonging is so important to them, even without realising this themselves I think.
Ie, If I were to tell my son he wears a "Super-Geek" uniform, he'd probably look at me strange.

----- So I wont spoil it for him.. or embarrass him.. .. this or let him know I am aware of the tribe he belongs too.

.... Though is this American? No, I think some 'clans' are pretty much universal...especially the one my son seems to belong to...even if he rarely leaves his cyber-dungeon...for if he does, it's only to visit friends in their cyber-dungeons or go to college.
I cant for the life of me understand why my son visits friends, only to interact with them on his lap-top, the way he would if he just stayed at home and talked to them online here.
He calls them Lan-partys.
Whatever the hell this is.
