Obviously I don't agree with all of the Greens' policies - some of them aren't viable, but those policies that do appeal are better than anything either of the major parties have to offer.

Yes - I agree you do have to give creatures a little space. Most of us have managed to get through life without being bitten by a spider or a snake.

I mentioned this to someone, adding that I'm led to believe it is a $2000 fine for killing a crow.

He claimed that if you want to kill toads, you must collect and put in a freezer.

If true this is phuking absurd, because in effect it makes cane toads a protected species.

No one is going to get done for humanely offing a cane toad. But if someone gets caught deliberately maiming them, rather than just killing them, then yeah, they should get some sort of sanction (but still, probably wouldn't, due to ACA inspired politics).
