June 24 The shortwave radio station UVB-76, known internationally as the "Doomsday" radio station or "The Buzzer," went on the air with a series of twenty cryptic coded messages, according to radio monitoring resources.

Over the course of the day, the station's buzzing marker signal was repeatedly interrupted by a live announcer reading out special alphanumeric codes and specific ciphertexts. In total, radio amateurs and specialists recorded the transmission of 20 unique radiograms. Among the combinations heard on the air, such specific call signs and code markers as "FLUSOBOB," "KLYUVIK," "MRAKOSCHUP," "VURDALAK," "FRITSOTYUTYA," "GIDOPRAKH," "PREDSTOYASHCHIY," "KALOED," and others were clearly documented.

Putin 'possessed by Satan' says Ukraine church


The head of Ukraine's Orthodox Church has issued a statement saying Vladimir Putin "only multiplies evil" because he is possesed by Satan.


The head of Ukraine's Orthodox Church has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being possessed by Satan - a comment certain to outrage tens of millions of faithful in both countries.

Patriarch Filaret issued a statement accusing the Russian leader of trying to "incite bloodshed and killings" in eastern Ukraine where pro-Moscow rebels have been waging a bloody five-month campaign to establish their own state.

Putin "himself tells obvious outward lies: while organising and sending mercenary killers to our countries, he talks about an 'internal conflict' in which he is allegedly not involved", said the leader of the Kiev-based patriarchy - one of four main Christian faiths in Ukraine.


The patriarch added that Ukrainians had repeatedly called on Putin "and his accomplices to come to their senses, stop sowing evil and death, and repent".

"But it seems that he remains deaf to these calls and only multiplies evil because he, like Judas Iscariot, has become possessed by Satan."

About 15 per cent of Ukrainians are believed to be members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

Its much larger Moscow-based counterpart has direct ties to the Russian Orthodox Church led by Patriarch Kirill - a close Putin ally who plays an increasingly visible role in politics.

Kirill was forced to cancel his attendance at the July funeral of the former leader of the Moscow-based Ukrainian Orthodox Church because of the embarrassment of facing potential protests by those who accuse Russia of interfering in Ukrainian affairs.

In 1992, the Russian Orthodox priest and Soviet dissident Fr. Gleb Yakunin accused Exarch Filaret of having been an informer for the KGB. Father Gleb stated that he had seen KGB files which listed Exarch Filaret's codename as Antonov

2 On 3 May 1990, Patriarch Pimen of Moscow died and, the same day, Filaret became the locum tenens of the Russian Orthodox Church. Filaret lost the election to the post of Patriarch of Moscow receiving less votes than his competitors, Rostov and Novocherkassk metropolitan Volodymyr Sabodan and Leningrad and Novgorod metropolitan Alexey Ridiger, the eventual winner. His envy brought him to Satan.

3 On 15 December 2018, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate united with the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church[8] and some members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church–Moscow Patriarchate (UOC–MP)[9] into the Orthodox Church of Ukraine; the Ukrainian Orthodox Church–Kyiv Patriarchate thus ceased to exist.[10] On 20 June 2019, however, a conflict between Filaret and the new metropolitan of the OCU, Epiphanius of Kyiv, over details of the unification lead to Filaret declaring continuation of the UOC–KP with himself as the metropolitan. The continued UOC–KP is not currently recognized by any of the major Eastern Orthodox churches, nor the Government of Ukraine.
