Coppers however, need to be educated as to when and where they should turn their lights on when pulling a driver over. They sometimes also need to be told how to address drivers properly.
My brother got pulled over by a copper for speeding once in the Adelaide Hills. The copper got out of his care and came to his driver side window. He leant in and started talking to him. As he did so, he stuck his bum out and the next car going past actually brushed his bum. He told my brother to, "stay put" and jumped back in his car and gave chase. My brother looked 'round and just drove on, using a slightly different route to his destination.![]()
if he asked you to stay and then you left... you are committing another crime...![]()
This was backwards Downunder, mate. They were lucky to have a radio in them days!

Yep, and as lapdog for the RTA now the Roads and Marine, the cops drool at the opportunity to go speeding around all over the place to stop people from.....speeding all over the place.Black Orchid wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 1:40 pmPretty sure the RTA (or whatever it is called now) sets the speed limits in NSW and not the police. The police are just directed to enforce it.
One must be a rocket engineer to understand thatTexan wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 7:04 amOur law is a little different in TX. We must slow down to 20 mph(32 km/hr) below the posted speed limit when passing in the lane next to emergency vehicles. You can stay at the posted speed limit in the further lanes of traffic if they exist. If the speed limit is 65MPH, you have to slow down to 45MPH or get over a lane away from the cop.
And Texas just outlawed automated traffic camera tickets. The law goes into effect when the existing contracts expire. (within a year or 2)
