It'd be pretty goddamn difficult for an El Niño to have effected Egypt considering they happen in the Pacific Ocean off of South America and Egypt is on the other side of the damn planet from that region. Or are you one of those idiots that actually believes that "butterfly effect" claptrap?

I suggest you have a read up about El Nino—affects more than the Pacific.
There was a documentary about that El Nino and its affect on Egypt—I was startled to see it could affect so much of the world but, after all, the Pacific is bigger than all the other oceans put together.
Similarly about the collapse of the Mayan civilisation and the area around Angkor Wat became incapable of supporting the population there.
You ignore the environment at your peril.
