The EAGLES' Glenn Frey died yesterday.

Glenn Lewis Frey was an American singer, songwriter, producer and actor, best known as a founding member of rock band the Eagles

They were a major band of the 70s, I'm not really into that country rock sort of sound but I have to admit they were legends of that scene. Hotel California is an all time classic. RIP,we're saying that a little too often already this year.

I loath "country music" but The Eagles were something else and I actually have a "tape" of their Greatest Hits. :rofl

I don't consider the Eagles music 'country rock'. I consider it more 'classic rock'.

RIP Glenn Frey. Too many people lately passing at ages 67 and 69. Too young really.

Stuck it up the Australian authorities.

Wow and not even a mention on google news headline page. He grew on me over the years and I saw him perform in Sydney many years ago. He was really drunk and swigging from a bourbon bottle. Not as bad as BB King ... but still.

RIP Joe Cocker.
