In 1992 a niece gave me a chihuahua puppy (young dog really, she was 6 months old.) Nice getting a free dog. $400 to have her desexed, $500 to fence the backyard: Tiffany had a habit of running out front and on to the road to challenge German Shepherds or other big dogs passing

I took Tiffany (she was a redhead) to work pretty much every day. She would stay put except if I had to go out when she would follow me, usually then visiting the printing business on the ground floor where she was very welcome

She was a very quiet dog, could put her in a shopping trolley or sports bag and she wouldn't move or make a noise. Sneaked her into a court once, a brief hearing re a slow payer I was chasing, no one noticed. One other time I was due to visit a client in an executive building, to give him some data CDs and a few lemons. Packed CDs and lemons, walked to the building, put Tiffany in the bag and into the building, up the lift, past reception and into the guy's office. Put the bag on his desk, opened it up (bag wasn't zipped up, of course) lifted Tiffy out, then the CDs and lemons. Guy was crying with laughter, tears running down his face when his phone rang and he had to hold a phone conversation doubled up with laughter. Never seen anything funnier

By Dec 2006 poor old Tiffy was blind and suddenly dehydrated. took her to the vet for what I knew was a one-way visit for Tiffy. Cried like a baby once out the animal hospital. Bloody animals!
Every time I see a chihuahua I want to have one again. Not while Demi is around, I guess.
Chihuahua are little dogs, but they are ALL dog. The most sociable breed I guess, bred to be a lapdog.
