I'm not convinced that Ukraine is the culprit.

Re: Elon Musk X attacked
Elon knows his stuff, and if he is certain Ukraine are behind it, I wouldn't be surprised. It's no secret that Ukraine has links to terrorist groups which is why I believe the best position Australia can maintain is that of neutrality.
Yet again, we are involving ourselves in a war that's none of our business, and I feel Albo's getting us in deeper and deeper by the day. He wants boots on ground in the Ukraine, WW3 is likely to evolve into a full-blown trade and economic war, involving all sorts of technological warfare, it's already started.
Australia should keep focused on our own best interests, domestic security, domestic economy, and transition to nuclear energy. This and minding our own business.
Wasting money in the peacekeeping of a nation that is like Russia, hot headed, egotistical, aiming for global relevance is a mistake.
It's not our war to fight.
Same with Israel and Palestinians, we need to but out and put our energy into securing ourselves because this is exactly what China is banking on, the west squandering their money and investing resources in fighting these wars, rendering ourselves economically dispensable, weak and needy and needing to borrow yet more money from them.
In the end, China won't have to destroy us, or it's leading foes, because we are doing a marvellous job of destroying ourselves.
WW3 as an economic war. No boots necessary, we need to prepare now and start securing our assets, our own economy.
China sending those ships was intended to psych us out, they want us to flex, they want us to react.

They want us to panic!
The best thing we can do now is be everyone's mate, express our sympathy for all those enduring warfare, provide aid in the form of medical/ food/ basic needs and just opt- out of the blame games.
We now need to start taking care of ourselves, because if we don't, we won't be in any position to help ourselves much less anyone else 20 years down the track.
These wars aren't going to end anytime soon. The military aspect of it may subside, however this is just the beginning of what will be a long enduring global trade war. Think hunger games.

Re: Elon Musk X attacked
Right now, we need to be invisible, not " relevant " but given Albanese's ego , this will be a challenge for him. He wants to be important, make a statement, wants to be able to say that he was a wartime PM and sent troops to wherever, he's a tool, and the sooner he retires to the beach with his mistress the better.
The reason he feels this way is because he's allowed himself to be cock-whipped by China in the first place. The fact that PNG and the Solomon Islands have both signed deals with China, rendering us irrelevant has secured his fate and his failure as a PM , his inability to secure his own nations borders with our traditional allies and close neighbours is a major fail. Then his national security fail with China's warships circling Australia has taken it's toll on his own ego, but of course ABC and our other predominantly Left media aren't really interested in discussing this because this demonstrates our governments shortfalls rather than strengths. Albos now trying to redeam himself in all the wrong places and is putting his foot in his mouth along the way rendering us vulnerable.
We look like desperate idiots, trying to gain relevance at the worst possible time to do so. Had he not promised boots on ground in the Ukraine, we would likely have been hacked, we are now caught in a cycle of appeasing others and subservience, without even being aware of who the true underlying enemy is. Lol China. China manipulates other nations into engaging in proxy wars on it's behalf, rendering them broke later on down the track with a view of winning the ultimate prize, Global power, ownership. No country should have this kind of power over other nations economies which is why this is particularly sinister and dangerous. Our only chance is self sufficiency, sound relations with trusted global trading partners, we need to re- ignite Australian manufacturing on Australian soil, we can't be trully independent and self sufficient when our entire economy relies on another's.
We need a level-headed government now more than ever, one who's capable of not being distracted or enticed into being "relevant " to satiate their own egos.
We need someone smart and capable of NOT being hoodwinked into becoming sitting exploitable ducks.
Dutton mightn't be perfect, but he thinks before he acts, and he's not egotistical and vain like our usual line-up from both Left and right.
He has a genuine desire to do what's in our OWN nations best interests, and this is a good start.
Duttons also open to listening to others POV.

Re: Elon Musk X attacked
In the end, if we don't start securing our nations assets, China won't need to start a military war, they'll just buy the remaining 10% of our natural resources and we'll dry up.
Seriously, just think about this.
Was amusing to see Albo desperately trying to use our natural resources as bargaining power when trying to negotiate with the US about trade tarrifs. What, 10% of what's left of the resources we sold off to China?
Oh wow, how stupid did Albo think Trump is?
....... Like taking a small piece of a mangled birthday cake to a party, popping some candles on top of it and singing "Happy Birthday Mr President " in an emasculated countertenor shrill voice.
Not very becoming now is it.
Albanese has been offering these mangled slices of birthday cake to everyone, including Indigenous Australians (re- The Voice referendum) , seems the only one who doesn't get it is himself. Al'Baloney, the one and only.
.... How much did that doomed referendum cost Australians again?
Seriously, just think about this.

We should be invested in Australias un-tapped mineral exploration and transitioning to nuclear power.
The cost of not doing this now, will cost us so much more down the track.
If you think the cost of living is unacceptable now, just wait until then. We won't have to wait long. It's just around the corner.
The current government isn't working towards Australia's future,
it's aim is to be part of the problem not the solution.

Later on, Australia should invest in OUR OWN space exploration program too.
The earth is running out of REE's, ( rare earth elements) so we need to start thinking outside the globe which is exactly what Elon Musk brings to the US table.
If nothing else, electric vehicles aside, Elon Musk has brought this to our attention and we should be thinking about our nations own future too, rather than living day to day, hand to mouth, as we always have, relying on our parents ( UK & USA ) to take care of us.
Time Australia grew up, or are we destined to be "kept children " forever?
With maturity comes autonomy, and when we can take care of ourselves, become self sufficient, ensuring our essential infrastructure and resources are in place, perhaps we can consider exploration elsewhere too.
Wouldn't that be exciting.

Re: Elon Musk X attacked
China wants Musk gone, perhaps even more so than Trump himself. Musk's legacy will continue regardless of what China try to do to him. Remember, China uses proxy's for everything, including wars. Technological warfare isn't beneath them when they have succeeded in financing terrorist groups and far Left protesters to place pressure on governments to commit all sorts of atrocities, war crimes.
The question must be asked..... where's the money coming from?
And remember, there's a number of extremist factions within the Ukraine itself, because countries enduring active war are especially vulnerable to this kind of thing, especially when it's been going on for 3 years already.
Ukraine has what China needs for their renewable energy ambitions to reach fruition.
Without exclusive access to Ukraines REEs, China won't have the edge it needs to capitalise on the green energy revolution.
It's a Green energy industrial revolution it plans to dominate.
Understandably so, this will secure generations of Chinese people for generations to come.
China is doing everything in it's power to not be left behind this time, even if this means causing wars all over the place.

Re: Elon Musk X attacked
Cui bono?
1 Dark Storm Hackers Claim Responsibility for X Cyberattack
Dark Storm Team is a cyber threat group that describes itself as a pro-Palestine hacktivist organization.
What benefits did DST get from the attack?
2 Ukraine. Claimed by Musk.
They have means and motivation perceiving Musk as anti Ukrainian despite Musk providing UAF with the Starlink.
3 Russia has means and motivation because the Starlink provided to UAF.
4 China has means and motivation - read mellie post above.
5 US Dems have means and tons of motivation.
6 EU and GB same as US Dems even more so.
7 Canada has means and motivation.
8 Mexico, Panama etc has motivation but not so sure about means.
9 Spiders from Mars have motivation taking Musk threat to invade and colonize their planet very seriously but nobody knows about what they can or can not do technically.
10 Pimply teenager in a backyard shed has means and does not need any motivation just does it.
Any other suggestions?
Anyway it seems to me like storm in a tea cap.
