The virus spreads faster in large cities with close quarters and public transportation. Democrats tend to run large cities.
Yes but are the Democrats exclusively responsible for the spread of the virus, Tex?

Seems to me the protestors are (almost) exclusively Republican supporters. How is their banding together to protest going to stop the spread of the virus? Appears to me that they lack good sense... :roll :roll

I don't recall saying that Democrats are exclusively responsible for the spread of the virus.

We need to get our economy going. This virus is going to spread at some point. We are not stopping this virus by shutting down our economy. Our emergency services are nowhere near being maxed out except in places like NYC or New Orleans. Meanwhile, people are losing their businesses or their careers. Our federal budget is in shambles. Meanwhile, we are delaying getting past this virus. My parents live 30 minutes from me and I haven't been able to see my parents for over 2 months. Do you expect my parents to stay isolated from their family forever? We have changed our behavior and had time to protect our vulnerable. There is no longer any excuse to impede our freedom. :roll :roll Tsk Tsk. Dearie, dearie you.

Tex, I'm sorry your finding things so hard. Remember though, this is the society you wanted to live in. No socialism for you. No Government hand outs. No free medical care for you and yours. If you value your freedom higher than your health, go for it. Sweden hasn't locked itself down. They are starting to question if that was a wise thing to do now. So, you haven't been able to see your parents in person for over 2 months. Ever hear of Skype or other video call systems? Works wonders. I'm sure your mother and father could cope with them quite well. You believe you've changed your behavior. Well, the virus isn't disappearing so, yeah, you can have your freedom back if you want it. Just don't come crying to us please.

I'm willing to bet you never get invited anywhere socially. Someone would be bound to punch you in the face!

See. We are learning to understand each other. I do value my freedom over my life. There are many people and principles that I value more than my life. I refuse to be dependent on government handouts. If you want to be locked in your pasture and graze on whatever your government will feed you, go for it.

I talk to my parents every day, video chat, and leave them necessities on their door step. You may not want to be around your parents, but I love mine and would like to visit them and do things with them.

Oh look! Tens of thousands of California Republicans ignored the governor and went to the beach.

The shut downs are affecting more than physical health. They are affecting financial health also. Tesla is planning on moving operations from California to Texas and Arizona over forced shut downs. I'm sure the high taxes didn't help. Tesla is the last automaker in California.
