The world would be subject to fight for us.

But they would want something in return.

they always got something back for their lend-lease deals -
often land and military bases but even gold and money too.

The Europeans took us for the suckers that were were -
we got nothing - absolutely nothing from the Europeans.

Australians are suckers and we still are.

Imagine if the French had said to us in WW1 and WW2 that yes -
come and fight and die for us but we won't even allow your progeny to open a bank account in France -
we will treat them as pariahs.
