They only play up unvaccinated deaths. They ignore the rest.
They do - there is very little info - same in Melbourne.

Meanwhile in Melbourne -
We've been in this 6th lockdown since August 5th 2021.
That is now 6 weeks and it was a lockdown for only 1 week
and the cases keep on rising.
So far we've had over 220 days of lockdowns since this pandemic started -
the longest in the entire world.

Large parts of regional NSW will come out of lockdown today but some will have restrictions re-imposed after the state recorded 1,351 new COVID-19 cases.
Key points:

Stay-at-home orders will come back into effect for Lismore and Albury at 6:00pm today
There have been two COVID-19 cases in Albury and one in Lismore
Twelve people died in the latest reporting period,
10 of whom were not vaccinated

The state recorded 12 deaths but deputy chief health officer Marianne Gale said she was "cautiously optimistic" the outbreak had peaked.

Deputy Premier John Barilaro said it was a "good day" for much of rural and regional NSW with 12 local government areas (LGA) regaining freedoms from this afternoon.

From 1:00pm today stay-at-home orders will no longer apply in Bega Valley, Blayney, Bogan, Cabonne, Dungog, Forbes, Muswellbrook, Narrabri, Parkes, Singleton, Snowy Monaro and Upper Hunter Shire LGAs.

These areas wil be able to enjoy relaxed restrictions around in-home gatherings, hospitality, retail, major events, mask wearing and school will also resume.

But Lismore, in the north-east of the state, and Albury, in southern NSW will go back into lockdown for seven days from 6:00pm today after recording new COVID-19 cases.

NSW recorded 1,284 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8:00pm yesterday.

There were 12 fatalities in the reporting period.

Three of the deaths were residents of aged care facilities in Dubbo, in the state's west.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the state was "inching closer and closer" to the 70 per cent double dose rate.

She said half of people in NSW aged over 16 were now fully vaccinated.

NSW will trial home quarantine for returning Australians who are fully vaccinated "in the next couple of weeks", the Premier said.

The pilot, to be operated and monitored by NSW Health and NSW Police, will trial a seven-day home quarantine program for around 175 people.

Currently, people coming to NSW from overseas must quarantine in a hotel for 14 days.

Participants in the pilot, which will be run in partnership with the Commonwealth, must have had both doses of a TGA-accredited COVID-19 vaccine.

The participants will be selected by NSW Health, based on a risk assessment framework, and may include some NSW residents, some non-Australian residents and some Qantas air crew.

More to come.

NSW Police are working to quash another anti-lockdown protest in Sydney this afternoon as the state records 1,331 new COVID-19 cases.

Six people, all from Sydney's west and south-west, died
from COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8.00pm yesterday.

Three people were not vaccinated and three had received a single dose of the vaccine.

One person was in their 40s, one was in their 60s, two were in their 70s and two were in their 80s.

One person, a man in his 70s from Western Sydney, acquired his infection overseas.

There have been 228 COVID-19 related deaths since the outbreak began in June.

Despite this, another anti-lockdown protest is planned to take place this afternoon in the city's inner west.

Busloads of police officers have arrived at Sydney Park to prevent protesters from gathering and trains will not stop in the CBD, Redfern, Martin Place or St Peters between 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Mounted police, the riot squad and PolAir have been deployed across the CBD and many roads are blocked off.

Police Minister David Elliott pleaded with any would-be protesters to stay home.

"We've seen past protesters end up contracting COVID-19, so anyone who is still considering protesting needs take a good hard look at themselves," he said.

Just four weeks ago, more than 1,500 police officers thwarted another anti-lockdown protest in the Sydney CBD and made almost 50 arrests.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced an easing of restrictions for Sydney's COVID hotspots from tomorrow after the state recorded 1,083 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths.

Image

Key points:

The eased restrictions will come into affect at 12:01am
The Premier said the state and infection figures were still in a "precarious" state
NSW Health said it was unsure if cases had peaked, but numbers were "encouraging"

Today's 13 deaths were the highest ever recorded in NSW within a 24-hour period and included an unvaccinated Western Sydney man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 after his death.

The state's local government areas (LGAs) of concern will from tomorrow be subjected to the same lockdown rules and stay-at-home orders as the rest of Greater Sydney.

From 12:01am, the following will be permitted in the LGAs of Bayside, Blacktown, Burwood, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Strathfield, and Penrith:

No limit on the duration of outdoor exercise and recreation (previously a two-hour limit)
Outdoor gatherings of up to five fully vaccinated people (not including children aged 12 and under) will be allowed in a person’s LGA or within 5km of home. Previously only fully vaccinated household members could gather outdoors, or up to two fully vaccinated people from different households
Shopping, exercise and outdoor recreation can be done 5km from home or within your LGA (previously only 5km from home)
Attend a small wedding (maximum 11 people) in Greater Sydney as a guest (previously only allowed in their LGA)
A person’s single’s bubble buddy can live in Greater Sydney (previously must have resided within 5km of a person’s home). A person from a LGA of concern can also now be a buddy for someone in Greater Sydney.

The authorised worker conditions and the travel permit requirements, however, will remain in place for those 12 LGAs.

On September 27, all public pools in NSW will reopen, provided councils have a COVID-safe plan approved by NSW Health.

I've just given up.

Don't care any more.

I just go to the beach and go fishing and the shopping center for any food and such.

Saving a fortune on petrol, Usually go through $200 to $300 a month on fuel.
This month only used last months fill and don't look like having to fill up for several more weeks.

I'm keeping busy doing maintenance to my home and the local aged people, even helped out the old peoples home across the road this week when some one ripped a tap off the wall and water was going everywhere.
They couldn't get a plumber for several hours and none of the nurses even knew how to turn off the water.
Turned off the water, replaced the broken fixture (Quite poorly installed, plastic pipe with insufficient screws to hold the mixer in place (like 1)
left the place a hero.

The only thing I draw the line at is mowing lawns and gardening...hate it, hate it.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Premier warns COVID-19 cases will 'go through the roof' when
state reopens as NSW records 935 new infections

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has warned COVID-19 cases will "go through the roof" once the state opens up next month after NSW recorded 935 new infections.
Key points:

The state government says cases may have already peaked, but it isn't "ready to call it"
The Premier says the state's health system will be "technically overwhelmed" next month
The regional town of Cowra will go into lockdown at 5:00pm on Monday

It is the first time new case numbers have dropped below 1,000 since August 27.

Four more people died during the reporting period, bringing the total number of fatalities in NSW to 301 since the start of the pandemic.

Ms Berejiklian hoped case numbers had peaked, citing modelling released by NSW Health at the end of August, but authorities weren't "ready to call it".

"I should note that even if case numbers go down, we should expect unfortunately that the number of people in intensive care and the number of people who lose their lives to go up," she said.

The Premier said case numbers were less significant at this stage of the pandemic and warned as freedoms in Greater Sydney returned, so would infection numbers.

"We have to accept that once we start reopening cases will go through the roof but it won't matter as much because people will be vaccinated," she said.

Play dates are back on in NSW with children under 18 allowed to form a “friends bubble” after the state recorded 1,022 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths.

A snap seven-day lockdown has also been announced for the Tweed, Byron Bay and Kempsey local government areas (LGAs) beginning from 5:00pm this afternoon.

The announcement comes after an authorised worker from Sydney spent spent several days in the area and later tested positive.

NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the worker, who had travelled to the state's north, had had a rapid antigen test before they left which was negative.

A PCR test later showed up positive.
