We have to visit the Mother in Law this week.
Now that we can leave home to travel north.
First we need proof that we have been double vaccinated.
Then we need to have a covid test in the last 3 days.

But even then, we are not allowed into the home, we have to meet her in the park out front.

But we found out yesterday that two nurses had not received the jab and one was positive.
Now the place is in lockdown.
So much for looking after the aged.
I have a dream
A world free from the plague of Islam
A world that has never known the horrors of the cult of death.
My hope is that in time, Islam will be nothing but a bad dream

Dan Andrews Takes Australia Further Into a Fascist Hole

‘Australia’s Horror Story’

Jeremy Salt for Information Clearing House writes…

The Premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, has just tabled legislation in parliament which is possibly the most monstrous ever introduced into a country calling itself democratic. Basically it gives Andrews the power to do whatever he wants and whenever he wants it. He has been turning Victoria into a police state for the past year and a half but behind the bland face and earnest manner, the legislation openly stamps him as a totalitarian psychopath.

It must be hoped the day will come when Andrews, the cabal around him and all those in public life who have deceived and betrayed the Victorian people, beginning with Daniel Andrews, will be held accountable, preferably in a court of criminal law.

Victorian schools will begin using rapid antigen tests to reduce the time unvaccinated students spend in quarantine during a COVID outbreak, with a trial starting this week.
Key points:

The tests will reduce the quarantine period for unvaccinated students from 14 to seven days
About 84 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and older are fully vaccinated
Ambulance Victoria avoided escalating to a red response last night, despite facing extreme pressure on its services

It comes as Victoria records 1,126 new local COVID-19 cases and five deaths.

There are now 16,178 active cases of the virus in Victoria, and 366 people have died during the current Delta outbreak.

Victoria's Deputy Premier James Merlino has announced free, at-home rapid antigen tests will be available for all schools from next week.

The tests will be given to 20 schools affected by COVID-19 outbreaks this week, and will then be distributed to all Victorian schools.

The tests are optional, and will only be offered to unvaccinated or partially vaccinated students — largely those under 12 years old — if they become primary close contacts of a positive case at their school.

A vaccination drive in Shepparton's Aboriginal community begins today, with a van being set up to provide free walk-in doses and home visits.

The vaccination rate of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Victorians has been below that of the wider state population, with the government aiming to "close the gap" by using roving health vans and pop-up clinics.

Rumbalara Aboriginal co-operative chief executive Felicia Dean said the initiative was providing an important service.

"We're fully aware why Aboriginal people are quite vulnerable so it's important for us to continue working and pushing for everyone to get their vaccination," she said.

Victoria records 1,003 COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths
as MP sounds alarm over threats linked to pandemic bill

Victorian crossbench MP Andy Meddick has raised the alarm over politicians' physical safety after a surge in abuse and death threats during debate over the state government's divisive pandemic bill, which is due to be debated in the upper house next week.
Key points:

There are 471 COVID-19 patients in hospital, down from 657 a week ago
Meanwhile, 84.9 per cent of Victorians aged 12 years and over are now fully vaccinated
Mr Meddick said abuse and threats towards his staff and family had "ramped up extraordinarily"

Mr Meddick, who is part of the Animal Justice Party and represents Western Victoria in the Legislative Council, said he feared the "escalation of threats" could lead to a politician being assaulted.

It comes as Victoria has recorded 1,003 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths, with the number of hospitalisations linked to the outbreak continuing to fall.

The MP said anger over the pandemic bill, which has sparked criticism and protests, meant that abuse and threats directed towards him, his staff and family had "ramped up extraordinarily".

"I think it has a lot to do with the rise of far-right organisations, in part, but also I feel that a lot of people are being geed-up, if you like, by partisan politics, by people with another agenda," he told the ABC.

"I think that's unconscionable, actually, because we are going through a global pandemic."
Andy Meddick sits in an office space wearing a navy shirt and a rainbow lanyard.
