That's what I initially thought it was all about too.

2011 nominations for Exalted Leader election

Post by boxy on Tue Mar 08, 2011 12:30 am
So that this thread doesn't get filled up with spam, please PM me or AiA with your nominations for forum moderator,

Yes, it would appear that the election was for exalted leader (as per the constitution (new or old version) but "explained" as a moderator.
Then what is an exalted leader? A moderator or an administrator?

Constitution

Role of exalted leader

Exalted leader has authority over forum policy and the day to day administration of the forum. This includes:
* appointing moderators
* deleting, editing and banning
* forum settings and forum layout, within the limitations imposed by the forum software
Exalted leader is servant of members, not master.

So the election was for an administrator not a moderator.

Hope that answers your dilema Lisa.

There should be a topic for all these freaky and hilarious signs. What a laugh hey lol :)
On Deepy’s dump he has or had a thread for weird stuff, an idea I copied.

Sometimes you read something that just sounds so strikingly weird there has to be a place for it. One item I posted was about Bengal tigers escaping their cage to “mingle” with the zoo visitors.

I pinched the OzPol idea of user-moderated forums too

That is on my site, but is a funny entry. Here a “Weird and Wonderful” would have to be in OT. I would be happy to create that and make sure to post an item to it now and then. Of course, you need to be able to see the humor where you wouldn’t expect to see it.

Hey IQ

I was encouraging Monk to start ANOTHER topic on this .. because I feel we ought to have a topic which effectively collects all this type of funny stuff.

My humblest apologies

Lisa

The only ones I ignore are the whinebot ones, and that's only after I've already answered them many times before.
I've only sent you two, both last week to the admin PM box. It doesn't matter now, I fucked up my email address here and had to re register, I was concerned you may not have accepted my vote as I'd only just joined last week with a new account.
Why would you send it to the admin account? That's freedivers, and I dont think he logs into it very often at all.
Because you were supposed to be the admin for the past twelve months. I would have thought the admins PM would be monitored by the admin.

boxy was an Admin, FD is the highest level of Admin as founder of this incarnation of PA. So that Adm account is FD. FD logs in FD for just posting (like I am JM and HBS Guy and Deepy is Deepy and Prime Minister.)
