Yeah, not good value, but you can make a very similarly flavoured and I think even nicer version yourself with chicken. Personally, I actually prefer the texture of chicken to duck here anyway.
Just be sure to buy sand ginger,

This is a real home style version, and it's amazing just served with boiled rice , and Asian greens or slices of cucumber even.
My friend makes a delicious version of Cantonese chicken in her slow cooker too, basically same ingredients, but I have no idea where she got the recipe from.
You could easily use pieces of chicken too, and it will even be better value.
There's plenty of Chinese roast chicken, or Cantonese crispy chicken recipes online, I only bought the duck myself because it was super convenient, but honestly, you can get very similar results using chicken at home for a fraction of the price.
My daughter gets eczema whenever we eat out, so I have had to try and improvise at home, making cult classics like burgers and Chinese, etc at home.
Otherwise she feels like she's missing out, so I am always on the lookout for healthier knock-off versions of takeaway or restaurant faves.
We normally eat very simply, but sometimes this drives me nuts so I just need to have something more grown-up.
The chicken recipe above is amazing, I love it served with plain boiled rice and steamed Asian greens.
I freeze the rest in portions for rolls, soups, even inside an omelette.
Next time, I might try a different method.
