Army whistleblower gets 5 years jail
What were the secret documents about?
Was the Australian army tying to cover up war crimes by making the documents secret?
So - the only person who has gone to jail after the 39 murders
is the man who reported them - the whistleblower .
Sounds fair?

A whistleblower who helped expose allegations of Australian war crimes in Afghanistan has been sentenced to five years and eight months in jail.
David McBride pleaded guilty to stealing and sharing military secrets on the eve of his trial last year, after legal rulings sunk his defence.
An ex-military lawyer, McBride said he was felt a moral duty to speak up.
A landmark inquiry later found evidence that Australian forces
had unlawfully killed 39 Afghans during the war.

After 6 months in prison.
McBride's appeal against his conviction and sentence is expected to be heard in the ACT Court of Appeal next year.

Not much difference from unwritten laws of underworld and organized crime.
Omertà is a law that demands silence.

omertà
noun
(among the Mafia) a code of silence about criminal activity and a refusal to give evidence to the police.
That's how the Govts work.
When you work for the Govt you can't even go home after work
and tell your wife that the coffee was no good at work.
You can't say anything without the written permission of the Minister of your Dept.
Massive penalties apply -
and as for talking to the press? - you'd have to be crazy.

This is just another example of Anthony Albanese virtue signalling, trying to trash the reputation of the Liberal government . This is so typical of a treacherous government with sour grapes on its way out.
The timing is key.
