Government Data Show U.S. in Decade-Long Cooling
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s most accurate, up-to-date temperature data confirm the United States has been cooling for at least the past decade. The NOAA temperature data are driving a stake through the heart of alarmists claiming accelerating global warming.
Responding to widespread criticism that its temperature station readings were corrupted by poor siting issues and suspect adjustments, NOAA established a network of 114 pristinely sited temperature stations spread out fairly uniformly throughout the United States. Because the network, known as the U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN), is so uniformly and pristinely situated, the temperature data require no adjustments to provide an accurate nationwide temperature record. USCRN began compiling temperature data in January 2005. Now, nearly a decade later, NOAA has finally made the USCRN temperature readings available.
According to the USCRN temperature readings, U.S. temperatures are not rising at all – at least not since the network became operational 10 years ago. Instead, the United States has cooled by approximately 0.4 degrees Celsius, which is more than half of the claimed global warming of the twentieth century.
Of course, 10 years is hardly enough to establish a long-term trend. Nevertheless, the 10-year cooling period does present some interesting facts.
First, global warming is not so dramatic and uniform as alarmists claim. For example, prominent alarmist James Hansen claimed in 2010, “Global warming on decadal time scales is continuing without letup … effectively illustrat[ing] the monotonic and substantial warming that is occurring on decadal time scales.” The word “monotonic” means, according to Merriam-Webster Online, “having the property either of never increasing or of never decreasing as the values of the independent variable or the subscripts of the terms increase.” Well, either temperatures are decreasing by 0.4 degrees Celsius every decade or they are not monotonic.
Second, for those who may point out U.S. temperatures do not equate to global temperatures, the USCRN data are entirely consistent with – and indeed lend additional evidentiary support for – the global warming stagnation of the past 17-plus years. While objective temperature data show there has been no global warming since sometime last century, the USCRN data confirm this ongoing stagnation in the United States, also.
Third, the USCRN data debunk claims that rising U.S. temperatures caused wildfires, droughts, or other extreme weather events during the past year. The objective data show droughts, wildfires, and other extreme weather events have become less frequent and severe in recent decades as our planet modestly warms. But even ignoring such objective data, it is difficult to claim global warming is causing recent U.S. droughts and wildfires when U.S. temperatures are a full 0.4 degrees Celsius colder than they were in 2005.
Even more importantly than the facts above, the USCRN provides the promise of reliable nationwide temperature data for years to come. No longer will global warming alarmists be able to hide behind thinly veiled excuses to doctor the U.S. temperature record. Now, thanks to the USCRN, the data are what the data are.
Expect global warming alarmists, now and for the foreseeable future, to howl in desperation claiming the USCRN temperature data are irrelevant.
Of course, to global warming alarmists, all real-world data are irrelevant.

Who remembers when we were all saying (us that are not true believers that is) that the data used and temperature stations were gigo due to the stations placements?

Well, no data is irrelevant it just needs to be taken into account wit hall the other data.
Can 800 experts around the world have it so wrong? Really.More than 300 scientists from 71 countries have worked on Working Group II (WGII) of the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), with further input from more than 500 expert reviewers as part of the writing process.
It is already having an impact so they say.The report shows climate change is already having an impact on the natural world and those impacts are expected to become greater in the future.
Again, it has already had an impact. This includes increases in temperature, changes in rainfall, melting of snow and ice, and species changing locations or responding differently to the seasons - which are themselves changing.
The warming climate has also had impacts on agriculture, the report says, with negative impacts having been more common than positives.

I guess the IPCC are just scam artists and have been wasting everyone's time according to the deniers.

Now here is a very recent update that states: "Human activity was responsible for two-thirds of glacial melt"
"Human activity was responsible for two-thirds of glacial melt, which increased sea levels by 69 millimeters across the world in the past two decades, according to a new study published in Science yesterday."
People Mostly to Blame for Recent Glacier Melt
Scientists attribute two-thirds of the meltdown of glaciers to human causes

Human activity was responsible for two-thirds of glacial melt, which increased sea levels by 69 millimeters across the world in the past two decades, according to a new study published in Science yesterday.
The rest of the observed glacial melt was due to natural causes.
This is the first time scientists have attributed a certain portion of the glacial melt and the resulting sea-level rise to humans. As such, the study is a landmark as well as a preliminary effort; the scientists are just 85 percent confident of their values.
"They have done an interesting analysis that confirms a big part of our intuition that anthropogenic forcing is important in guiding the glacier response to climate change," said Shad O'Neel, a glaciologist at the U.S. Geological Survey in Alaska who was not affiliated with the study.
Retreating glaciers are a powerful visual of climate change and a key contributor to global sea-level rise together. Over the past decade, glaciers have contributed as much to the oceans as the ice sheets in Antarctica and Greenland. Over the past century, melting glaciers have accounted for half of the global sea-level rise and will continue to play a role, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
But the reason behind glacier melt has been difficult to resolve.
"It seems so obvious that it is getting warm because of anthropogenic emissions and if it's getting warmer, glaciers are melting," Ben Marzeion, a climate scientist at the University of Innsbruck in Austria and lead author of the study, said over the phone. "The problem with that is, nobody had shown robustly that these glaciers are melting because of anthropogenic emissions."
Worldwide inventory of glaciers
This is because glaciers respond to changes in climate over many decades or even centuries. Some of the melt observed today could be an artifact of events that played out in the distant past.
Even more confusingly, individual glaciers can melt at different rates depending on the topography, elevation and local climate. There is no one equation that could explain the behavior of all the glaciers of the world. Scientists have so far studied in detail only about 350 glaciers out of the 200,000 that exist today.
A major step toward resolving some of the unknowns came last year when scientists released the Randolph Glacier Inventory of all the glaciers in the world.
The inventory was a huge step forward and was used by the IPCC in its latest report released last year, Tobias Bolch, a senior glaciologist at the University of Zurich who helped assemble the inventory, said over the phone.
But the inventory also has its uncertainties, especially in regions like China and India, Bolch said. Glaciers tend to cross over political boundaries and give rise to contested water supplies, which means nations do not readily share information about their glaciers.
Marzeion and his colleagues used the inventory to create a model of how glaciers behave. They then input the results of the glacier model into 12 different climate models. This allowed the scientists to explore the impacts of climate change on glacial evolution.
They found that from 1851 to 2010, glaciers contributed 99 millimeters of global sea-level rise without anthropogenic influence. And with the influence, glaciers contributed 133 millimeters.

All you provide are articles stating the opposite. Mostly pointing to individual stats then claim the whole theory is a fabrication.
We have established that the forecasts to temperature were wrong. That is, the increase temperature was not there over the last 10 years but an object can absorb energy without increasing in temperature can't it.
