If you managed to take the accolades when it falls into your lap and you decide to make public what you have been given then you should be man enough to take the consequences for that revelation.

What should surprise all lefty conspiracists and anti-us whiners, is the lack of evidence of massive conspiratorial proof of US corruption and coverups. As far as I have seen, there has been some minor incidences that have been the norm in casualties of wars despite the thousands of cables released.

I don't think a court would see much difference in paying someone to intercept or for paying for them. In the end you are in possession of them.

Aussie is right on this one.

The real issue for me is that he published them, and there was a lot, without considering the risk to human life. They should have gone through it carefully and edited out names and events that would threaten life or give the terrorist an advantage.

I consider Assange to be irresponsible. With that sort of power he should have been more responsible. That is his undoing.
