Drove through part of Gavin St today .. pretty bad .. paper said 300 houses condemned, of 4000 affected.
Drove though part of Perry St a week or so ago, even worse .. but then nearly everything left in the houses and businesses was in big piles on the edge of the street.

Usual access from North into Bundy now open. Last time I was here the was a massive hole/crator beside the Young Australian Hotel.

These floods, droughts, fires are all quite within expectation, and they are all quite normal for Australia, which includes of course, Bundaberg. I've seen you argue that point ad nausium. I personally tend to agree with you..............but there are some blokes far smarter than me (and I suspect also far smarter than some bloke who was struggling to buy a keyboard) who say otherwise.

I also say exactly the same about the NBN (concerning how much I actually know and what that other bloke knows.) Silly me reckons it will be like the Industrial Revolution..............a fundamental societal tectonic plate shift. For example (from just silly me........) people will work from home (and that means............fewer transport issues.....less need for Office space....better life/work outcomes....and many more silly me can't immediately bring to the keyboard), commerce will undergo a revolution, practice of Law will not involve physical Courts, or even physical contact between solicitor and client, the need to go see a quack will be reduced. People can and do already work from home with no need for a $50Bn taxpayer funded 100Mb or even 25Mb pipes.

Law courts already have dedicated bandwidth as do most public infrastructures
