from what little I have read about this guy he was a loner. an off the planet one I admit....I have yet to hear of an ISIL TERRORIST being called a LONER......

my feelings are this guy chose NZ for their lack of security he was able to get a gun licence and buy at least 5 guns....so he was not on any watch list..

maybe if he had done all that in Aust our security would have got suspicious ... its not as if he was shy about what his plans were..

Apparently the government is going to fortify mosques in Australia. I certainly hope they will fortify the churches as well. I don't have to repeat what a shocking incident this was in Christchurch but is was also only recently that 3 Christian churches were bombed in Indonesia where many were killed including children.

Indonesia is actually closer to Australia than New Zealand is.
