I'll be sitting back for awhile watching. The way they will get me is when I want to leave the country ... which I do.

I think it could take years for us to see any adverse effects though, if any.

I guess it's the capitalist in me. I assume since many people are quarantined and not allowed to work, that Australians are depending more on government money and less on personal achievement. I also hear complaints about china taking over industries and gaining influence in universities and governments. We have the same problems, but I assume that you are further down that road. Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I'm getting that vibe because most of you here are pensioners....we are watching china do not worry....the govt dependence has only lasted for about 6 months...

Everyone in my family has continued working and haven't missed a paycheck since the china virus hit. Most of us have "essential" jobs like teaching, engineers, nurses, etc....... that I would suggest has been the reason for your appalling figures through this whole thing..


My parents are retired, so they stay home and have items delivered or order groceries on line and have them brought out and put in their car in the store parking lot. They are the most at risk, FROM DYING YES i GET THAT BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FACT IT IS BEING PASSED AROUND AT RECORD SPEED.. so they are my biggest concern. My life hasn't changed at all except having to wear a mask at times and going through screening at different work sites each day. I work in a different business every day, eat out, and often stay in hotels for my job. Since I've had the disease, I flout the law a little and only wear a mask when I am working or when a store owner demands it. I stay away from my parents and elderly people in general if I have any signs of sickness. I flout the law a little, but I don't take chances around the vulnerable. I do visit my parents, now that I have had the disease and am very unlikely to get it anytime soon. They have been lonely and I think they just want to see their grandkids. I've only known one person who has died from this disease. He went to my church, but I didn't even know his name.

DO YOU WASH YOUR HANDS....ONE OF THE QUICKEST WAY TO SPREAD THIS THING..


we have used a lot of hygiene... as well as going home until your test result is clear......and its worked our figures ARE NOTHING LIKE YOURS...

you cant say the USA has got a good record because its one of the worst... at least thats what the figures tell me...

Personally? Yes. I also keep 70% alcohol hand sanitizer in my cars and use it every time I get in and out of my cars. My family didn't give the disease to a single person after my son brought it home from his work. We quarantined for a month and didn't get out of the house until everybody tested negative. I never tested positive, but my company demanded that I test negative before coming back to work. Maybe I'm better than average, but I'll take freedom and personal responsibility any day over shutting down small business and forced isolation. We may have had more deaths, but they are greatly over exaggerated. Many, if not most, had other factors that would have likely killed them soon anyway. We have also had VERY small flu numbers. Our total number of deaths for 2020 have actually gone down. Fewer people are drinking in public and causing automobile accidents or getting other communicable diseases because we are fighting the spread of the china virus. With people home more, there are fewer burglaries. With many stores open as drive thru only, there are fewer robberies. I also like our odds toward gaining herd immunity. If we have 300k covid deaths, then we probably have 50 million people who carry the antibodies already.

I didnt realise the high death rate is normal for your country......it sounds like you have it under control.. so thats good to hear.

well I hope you are right....I am just not sure why Britain has been brought into a bad situation...as you can see Tex denies there is anything wrong or bad happening in the USA...maybe he thinks it only takes one family to do the right thing and all will be ok......lets hope he is right...

I really hero this country....I realise we have a smaller population compared to overseas.....but even so....they appear to be scrambling as far as I am concerned...and putting all their hopes on a vaccine well good luck with that for one thing not everyone can have it.. and many will NOT have it....so it wont be eradicated..

Both links confirm the same thing, Cods. There's no bias from either link. They are both correct. It's got nothing to do with anyone's ethnicity it's got to do with facts.

BTW I haven't seen Tex say any such thing and the vaccine cannot, and will not, eradicate it.
