It must be the clock which is restricting posting. Even though it's been hours since Rorschach posted in politics - I finally managed to get my post through according to the forum clock - 1 minute later - although in reality it was 6 hours later.
The clock is reading minutes as microseconds or something like that.

yes I haven't been able to post or pm for hours
that would explain why the site thought I was posting too soon after my last post mantra.
it was stuck/frozen for some reason... maybe an upgrade or fix or fiddle that didn't work properly
