This thread will be a counselling service for theists.

The way it will work is..............you tell me why you believe in god, and I'll tell you why you're an idiot.

I believe in god because there has to be a purpose for being.
I look around the world and see that it must have been created by intelligent design.
I need to believe in something because it is my design by God to believe.
God speaks to me in many ways, when I listen… all go well, if things go bad it is him will not my will that is done.
I am powerless over all things and need my creator to guide me.
The miracles of life convince me of his existence.
