A Tip. Stick them in the freezer. I had a friend who went off and on cigs regularly and he always put his opened packet in the freezer. A bit like putting loaf of sliced bread in there ....... and taking out a slice at a time and defrosting it.... fresh and like new.mellie wrote:Well as I explained, it annoys me because the quality of my smoking enjoyment has been compromised, given my chosen brand of cigarette (Dunhill blues) no longer has the re-sealable freshness foil packaging, and despite this, I still pay the same price for an inferior (to what it was) product.
Who wins? You see Boxy, given I only smoke a few a day, if that.. they go stale on me, hence I preferred the freshness seal packaging because it was like opening a fresh packet of smokes everyday.
The cigarette companies.
Thats about it.
Plain packaging of cigarettes.

And thanks Nef, though I might pass on the freeze dried tobacco..
Why should I have to pay the same price for an inferior product though?
This and go to the inconvenience of keeping them in my freezer?
To keep the cigarette companies wallets lined?

The kids and I have been making masks out of images from my cigarette packets.
All we need now is an eye, and two more noses and we should be right for Halloween next year.

We might even make a Mr Potato Head out of the next carton.
Snap or swap cards even?
Hey, I'll swap you two necrotic mouths for a gangrenous nose.

You've obviously got quite a bit invested in this, some way or t'other.
