It has been hot everywhere this Summer. We expect bushfires somewhere every Summer. It is part of Aussie Life!
Yesterday was the 10 year anniversary since the 2003 Canberra Bushfires where 500 homes were lost and 4 people died. Horrible, the sky was RED. I am miles from where the fires were but because of the conditions, we had the Firies wandering up and down my street and we were being warned to be ready to evacuate. I had my bags at the door!
The past several Summers have been relatively "cool", only a few days here and there at 35+. This year we had 5+ days above 35C ....... even with aircon and "pink bats" (paid for by me, not the ALP) and fans everywhere, it has been difficult to sleep, the main problem has been that it hasn't dropped down to under 20C at night .. usually it does.
Hope that everyone else is safe!
Ah well, Autumn is coming, when mornings are cool and days are sunny!
