I am curious as to WHY she would announce an Election so early.

1. Cements Tony at the Liberal helm. No Opposition, in Australian history, has ever changed Leader after the date announcement. Tony is the best thing the ALP have going for them at the moment.
2. Flushes Tony out early concerning substantive Policy and costings.
3. Gives Tony more opportunity (under a tad more pressure) to show Australia what a lying arsehole, buffoon and thug he is.
4. Will keep Kevin on the back foot.
5. People can plan their weddings better.
6. Those among the Jewish Community will have to vote early.
