A US man has agreed to plead guilty to charges alleging that he tricked about a dozen teenagers into stripping or performing sexual acts for him via webcam and used recordings of those sessions to coerce them into making even more explicit videos.
Richard Finkbiner signed an agreement filed in federal court in Indiana on Wednesday in which he will plead guilty to child exploitation, extortion and possession of child pornography in exchange for a recommended sentence of 30 to 50 years in prison.
US Attorney Joe Hogsett previously said prosecutors intended to seek an effective life sentence if a jury convicted Finkbiner.

What a scumbag.
I may criticise the US often but one thing I think they have right is the length of time perps have to spend in Jail.
For a similar crime in the UK you would get 3 years and that would be halved for good behaviour to get you out of prison because it is over crowded. Then, as most kidd fiddlers can not be rehabilitated they our out there looking for the next victim.
Life here means 10 to 15 years. That's for murder.
How have things evolved back home on this issue. I am so out of touch and never see any news on this issues.
For some crimes, like this one... they need to be permanantly off the streets. Lock them up or hang them.

How about
this for tough language, and then a slap on the wrist?
"I think you heard me refer to you before as a clown or an idiot. Well you are," Judge Harrison said. "It's people like you who wreck it for everyone.
"Time and time again we hear how people are dissatisfied about the sentences that the courts impose and how the push is on for tougher and tougher sentences.
"And it's because of grubs like you - and I use that word advisedly - grubs like you, that we're hearing that."
Judge Harrison said if he could bet on Tamou re-offending, he would become a rich man: "You will be back. If I was sure who was going to win the Melbourne Cup next year as I was about you re-offending, I would make a fortune.
"Because you've got no respect, have you, for this system?
"You do your block and you go hurt people. You go and assault people, you go and steal things because you don't care.
"But you can't just go ahead, lose the temper, put your brain into neutral, if you have got one - and I seriously question that - and then just go and do what you like.
"A month after you were sentenced in this court, you were off stealing.
"What a goose."
Judge Harrison said the best place for Tamou was not "bludging off the Queensland taxpayer in jail, costing us a fortune".
"But no, that's where you want to be, because nothing penetrates your thick skull.
"You're an impulsive, angry, idiot that has no intention of complying with court orders.
"I don't think, however upset I am with you for the contempt you have shown for this place (court), anything is to be gained by putting you back in for a short term and sending you out again.
"You are going to remain on parole now for about 10 months and it's up to you.
"I don't hold out any confidence (because) out will come the fist, about three seconds before the brain."

I have Foxtel and watch a lot of the Discovery (ID) and CI channels about disappearances, murders and the like.
Having watched a few "Missing" episodes I decided to Google the names and came up with a dedicated Website called Websleuths.com. Looking further, I noticed that there are several young Aussie girls who have gone "missing" RECENTLY and the MSM isn't reporting.

PS Scroll down and even go to the next page but AUSTRALIA does show up, unfortunately.

Wow. Big deal.
Crime pays. If you are in some of the wimpy countrie like the UK and Australia.
I have decided if I ever comitt a crime it has to be here in the UK. You get 5 years and out in 1/2 the time for crimes you would do 20 to life for in the US.
The strange thing is, even though this is true, the UK is one of the safest countries to live in.
