Wonder whether the UK and NE North America will have another winter of blizzards and record snow? Funny how “with no global warming” Arctic air masses still manage to move out of the Arctic to create chaos, funny how the Jet Stream hasn’t resumed normal course. Freak fire-storms, floods, and unseasonally hot days etc.

To demonise CO2 yet again, a false claim is that human production of CO2 will cause the oceans to become acid. ‘Acid’ is an emotive word to the general public, which is why it is seized upon by the alarmists in their search for yet another scare. In reality increasing CO2 makes the ocean become ‘less alkaline’, but never ‘acid’.

Your source was not denying the oceans were growing more acid due to GHG emissions.

He was just saying we should it as oceans growing less alkaline. Less alkaline just another way of saying more acid.

Got it in one, Aussie. All to do with concentrations of the H+ ion, expresses as pH, 14 is extremely alkaline, 1 is extremely acid.
