CLIVE Palmer's lead has shrunk to just 22 votes with only about 150 ballot papers left to count in the seat of Fairfax.

Direct from Palmer's 21C a minute ago.............Palmer won by 36 votes. Automatic recount.

Ha! That vote was a real fucking seasaw, Palmer up then the LNP jerk up then Palmer up!

Clive has some valid (it seems) concerns re Coolum(?) count where HoR and Senate votes didn’t tally? Should see an increase in his vote on the recount then.

No celebrations yet. Recount could do anything. Hoping to be directly involved in that as a scrutineer.

Hahahahahaha! No. I'm not in that photo I can promise you, but if I was, I certainly would not be saying so.

It is a very good illustration of what the scrutineers do. There they are, all hawk-eyed peering over the outnumbered AEC official. There is one in that photo anyone with an eagle eye on past Aussie Olympians (Moscow) might recognise.

(Edit: Just had a look at the link and so that no-one gets over excited, I'm not in any of those photos. I've been here chatting with you lot, and not at the AEC site.)
